2008 Chrysler Sebring To Make A Comeback

June 7th, 2007

2008 Chrysler SebringThe Chrysler Sebring has been around for more then a decade and has easily become one of a few vehicles that has been offered as a sedan, coupe, and convertible. At the time when it was first built it was an unusual vehicle that people loved. But, as time passes, the Sebring has lost its unusual style, thus losing its value to its competitors.

Chrysler recently performed a makeover, hoping to make the Sebring more desirable to consumers. It’s now available as a sedan and a convertible (with either a soft- or hardtop), and overall it’s a higher-quality car that’s more interesting to behold and roomier than its predecessor.

2007 Chrysler SebringChrysler will sell the new Sebring in base, Touring and Limited trim levels. If you go for a base Sebring, you won’t do without anything important, as all models come with ABS, a tire-pressure monitor, 16-inch steel wheels, front-seat side airbags, full-length head curtain airbags, air-conditioning, a CD player, an input jack for MP3 players and cruise control. Finding a comfortable driving position isn’t hard either, now that there’s a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel.

Touring models get 17-inch alloy wheels, upgraded interior trim and lighting, and a lengthier options list, while the Limited adds single-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, Boston Acoustics speakers and, in a nod to the 300C, tortoise-shell interior accents.

Based on a different platform than the sedan and convertible, the coupe has been retired, reflecting the shift in the market away from two-door vehicles, among other manufacturing factors. The remaining Sebrings make incremental improvements for this year, with the standout news being the addition of a performance-oriented TSi sedan.
