Cheap Gas Prices

Over at automotive.com, website owners can snatch up a really cool chart to display the current national (or even local) average gas price. It’s the first time I’ve seen such a tool, and we’re really digging it. In fact, you’re looking at the cheap gas prices in my area. Fortunately Georgia has some of the lowest gas prices in the nation, definately comes in handy during spirited driving : )

California Sues Automakers Over Global Warming

Traffic In CaliforniaCalifornia’s attorney general on Wednesday sued the six largest U.S. and Japanese automakers for damages related to greenhouse gas emissions. The federal lawsuit alleges that emissions from their vehicles have harmed Californians’ health, damaged the environment and cost the state millions of dollars to combat their effects.

“It’s part of a strategy to address global warming,” Attorney General Bill Lockyer told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. “The goal of this one is to hold these automobile manufacturers accountable for the monies taxpayers are spending to address these harms.”


Ohio Has Nation’s Cheapest Gas

Gas Pump NozzleAccording to AAA, those in the Buckeye State are benefiting from the end of the summer driving season by registering the lowest gas prices in the nation. Ohio residents are enjoying a 30-cent discount on fuel, compared to the national average, partly due to seasonal demand and increased competition between the purveyors of the go-juice… maybe among other things (continue reading).

The average cost of tank of unleaded in Ohio is $2.29 a gallon, which in comparison to this writer’s residence in the Golden State, is a full 58 cents less than the fill-up station down the road. Fine, we’ll see your cheap gas and raise you our ability to go skiing in our shorts.
