GM, Ford, and Chrysler pushing E85
May 24th, 2006The Big 3 want the government to do more to expand the availability of ethanol fuel for cars and trucks at filling stations across the country.
General Motors CEO Rick Wagoner, Ford Motor Co. CEO Bill Ford and Chrysler group CEO Tom LaSorda offered the proposal after they visited congressional leaders at the Capitol last week.
Because the Big 3 believe in the free market, Wagoner told reporters, “Incentives rather than mandates are the way to go.”
