The Excellence Of The Bentley GTC
October 5th, 2006
After introducing the Continental GT three years ago it had a very successful run, and hopes to continue this with the newest member of the Continental family, the GTC convertible.
The GTC carries the lines of the GT coupe with the soft-top in place. A single push of a button transforms this new Bentley into the world’s fastest open-top 4-seat automobile. With its 552-horsepower turbocharged W12 engine, the Continental GTC boasts a top speed with the top down of 190 mph, redefining the idea of “wind in your hair.”
2007 Bentley Arnage
August 30th, 2006
Usually we’re not too excited when we get a company’s entry level car to review, but in Bentley’s case we made an exception for the Continental Flying Spur. We still have hopes to one day get in an Arnage, the Britsh marque’s true range topper with a price tag in the range of $220,000 to $250,000.

The 6.75-liter twin-turbo V8 in the Arnage T now makes a nice, round 500 bhp and enough torque to accelerate out of a black hole – 738 ft-lbs. Power climbs from 400 to 450 bhp in the Arnage R and long wheelbase RL, while torque goes up to 645 ft lbs. All Arnages also get a new ZF six-speed automatic that replaces the previous car’s dated four-speed. Read the rest of this entry »
Le Mans Prototypes Getting A Roof
June 18th, 2006
The organizers of the 24 Hours of Le Mans have announced that the race’s premier class, the LMP1 prototypes, will be restricted to coupe-style cars starting in 2010. The Automobile Club d’Ouest (ACO) announced the change in the run-up to this weekend’s running of the endurance racing classic.
Although the current regulations allow for both coupe and roadster body styles, different specifications for the two body types have given the roadsters the performance edge. The Bentley EXP Speed 8 shown above was the last hardtop to win the race, in 2003.
