Kia Rondo Concept
February 7th, 2007
The brand new Kia will be using the 2007 Chicago Auto Show as its way to debut its Rondo SX Concept. We don’t have much information on the vehicle at this time, besides the fact that it’s based on the Rondo and features a more aggressive front end with a big lower air intake and a revised rear with what we assume to be faux diffusers stationed in between a pair of tailpipes.
2007 Jeep TrailHawk Concept
January 4th, 2007
This year’s Jeep concept is called the Trailhawk. Based on the Wrangler Unlimited framework, important tidbits of information are that it’s powered by a V-6 turbo-diesel; the cargo area is roofless with a fold down tailgate and sliding load floor drawer; and it has an ipod compatible sound system nestled in the bed. The Trailhawk has an aggressive look, especially when you’re locking eyes with its menacing front fascia.
Jeep says the Trailhawk Concept “merges the spectrum of the brand by combining the core features of the new body-on-frame Jeep Wrangler with the refined sophistication of the unibody Jeep Grand Cherokee.” We think it looks great and we’d take one over a Liberty, a Grand Cherokee, or a Commander or maybe all three.
2007 Lincoln MKR Concept
January 3rd, 2007
While the official release from Ford Motor Company had been held under embargo, some publications were given exclusives on the release prior to the Detroit auto show in January . Though it’s officially no more than a concept vehicle, the prototype is likely to show up in production form before decade’s end, albeit a bit less radical than the prototype. One of the more notable features of the show car is its all-glass roof with a Lincoln badge etched in. A more conventional roof, albeit with an oversized Panorama roof would be more likely in production.
