Saturn’s 2008 Vue Green Line Hybrid

Saturn has plans to continue to provide top notch and affordable hybrids to consumers. Their newest hybrid, the 2008 Vue Green Line, is a perfect blend of easy to use controls with an electric motor-generator mated to a 2.4L four-cylinder engine and a modified four-speed automatic transmission.
The system saves fuel by providing an electric power assist during acceleration; shutting off the engine at idle; early fuel cut-off during deceleration and capturing electrical energy through regenerative braking. The 2008 Vue was first shown last November at the Greater Los Angeles International Auto Show, as an uplevel XR model.

The 2008 Saturn Vue is one of the more intriguing new vehicles on the market this year, and not because of any innovative technology, advances in safety or huge leaps in fuel economy. With the Vue, you get fairly straightforward hardware: front-mounted four- and six-cylinder engines, front- or all-wheel drive, MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspension, seating for five, and six airbags.
2008 Saturn Astra

Saturn is currently preparing to debute the all-new Astra, a car that’s more-or-less identical to the European Opel Astra in every significant way. Rather than importing the car from Europe, which it will do at launch, to get the car more quickly, GM will build the car Stateside and massage some of the more expensive content out to make it a more cost-effective proposition for the U.S. market. What arrives on Saturn forecourts in the fall of 2007 will be much closer to its European sibling.
