Sneak Peak At 2008 Hyundai Veracruz
January 22nd, 2007This video gives you a sneak peak look at the company-produced “b-roll” video for the 2008 Hyundai Veracruz, which was finally revealed at the Detroit Auto Show this week. A B-roll is produced for advertising and news sources to use and generally shows the vehicle being used just as the company designed it to be used. In this case, mainly between the curbs with very light off-road use.
After seeing the Veracruz in person, it appears that the Hyundai has a potential winner on its hands. Naturally, sales will tell us whether or not it will be a big hit, but there’s room at the table for a crossover with as much style as this one shows inside and out.
Is This The 2008 Jeep Compass?
January 19th, 2007
It was labeled as a concept at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Jeep Compass provided a first look at a thinly veiled near-production soft-roader destined to expand the line-up. Jeep has been driving a heavily disguised Compass through the hills near Los Angeles, allowing consumers to chart its trail to production. Most people deny that Jeep would ever allow the tank to hang so low in the rear, but welcome to a new world at the Chrysler Group, where they build Jeeps on Mitsubishi Lancer platforms.
Toyota FT-HS Hybrid Concept
January 19th, 2007
The Detroit auto show is held in a Las Vegas-like stage where carmakers do their best to amaze a world audience. Toyota will step up this year and show off its FT-HS Hybrid Sports Concept, a futuristic looking sports car that would be powered by a 400-horsepower hybrid powertrain. The Toyota FT-HS Hybrid Sports Concept is just that a concept, little more than a container for the overheated dreams of a bunch of designers at Calty Design Research. In fact, what you see here is only a two-dimensional animation, a computer-generated image of the show car that Toyota will be rolling out at the Detroit auto show.
