The 2006 Honda Pilot makes a bold statement wherever it goes, whether it’s a weekend adventure to the mountains or a daily commute through the urban jungle.
The Honda Pilot is Honda’s second SUV fully built and designed by Honda. Honda’s initial SUV offering for many years was the Passport, which was a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo. Where the Passport was truck-based, the Pilot shares underpinnings and the powertrain with the Acura MDX, which has a lineage which can be traced to the Honda Odyssey minivan (itself based on the global light truck chassis). The Pilot’s unibody construction, however, is fortified with integrated perimeter frame rails, which helps it withstand light off-road use.
New for 2007, the Pilot comes in 2WD and 4WD models, both with an advanced 3.5-liter, 24-valve, 244-hp, V-6 engine. Its newly updated exterior design features clean, uncluttered lines, a wide, strong stance and a spacious, versatile interior. New safety and engineering features abound, and luxurious extras have been added for even more comfort and convenience. So you can rough it in the middle of nowhere and still enjoy some of the comforts of home.
The 2007 Honda Pilot is availabe in LX and EX trim, with MSRP starting at $26,995. Look for this vehicle to be redesigned for 2008, along with the Acura MDX.

WILL THE 2008 PILOT BE NEWLY REDESIGNED WITH BETTER MPG?

Just acquired the ‘07 Pilot in EXL trim. The only cosmetic difference that I have noted is the silver-lense tail lights and the the “PILOT” badge has moved from the right side of the tailgate to the leftside. It’s been a great 3 weeks so far…hope this is helpful.
