LOVE THIS CAR! I own a 2006 Ford Five Hundred and is more than pleased with my vehicle. Was in an accident last year with my new car, and it handled VERY well protecting me and my newborn daughter. Car was repaired by a Ford repair shop. They did BEAUTIFUL work with minimal tweeking. Car has been running like new ever since. Very pleased and wished it got better advertisement. Glad the new "Taurus" is getting a bigger engine in 2007.

After a year, I am more than 100% satisfied with my Ford Five Hundred. My previous car was a Toyota Avalon that had problem after problem from the day it was new. Brainwashed by the media into thinking that foreign cars are more reliable, I almost bought another. Thank God I drove the Ford, which actually cost thousands less. My Ford Five Hundred is roomy, comfortable, quiet, terrific stereo, classy interior, looks great from any angle, and gets comments from strangers on a regular basis wanting to know what kind of car it is. No problems and no maintenance in one year except three oil changes and a new set of windshield wipers. If I'm light on the throttle I get 22.0 to 23.5 mpg. Why is this not the best-selling car in America?

The Ford Five Hundred itself is derived from Volvo platform that originated with the XC90 SUV. So Volvo and Ford lovers would surely be delighted.
